People & Culture Project Intern
Organization: ventureLAB
Duration: 16 week project term (35 hours/week)
Compensation: Fixed Monthly Allowance of $1000; paid semi-monthly ($500 paid after 15 days)
This is on-site internship 5 days a week.
Project Overview
ventureLAB is seeking an intern for its Human Resources department. The intern will report to HR Coordinator in optimizing our internal operations and talent experience. This role is designed as a time-bound project where the intern will focus on a 16-week roadmap aimed at enhancing recruitment workflows, employee onboarding, and culture-building initiatives within a high-growth tech environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student eager to gain hands-on HR experience while exploring how digital tools and AI can be leveraged to create a more efficient and inclusive workplace.
Project Scope & Key Deliverables
The intern will be responsible for the following milestones during their term:
Recruitment Lifecycle Optimization: Support the end-to-end talent acquisition process, from drafting job postings and resume screening to scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications.
Onboarding Experience Design: Assist in refining the onboarding journey to ensure new team members have a seamless and welcoming introduction to ventureLAB’s culture.
Culture & Engagement Initiatives: Lead the planning and execution of specific employee engagement projects designed to strengthen our "Team RIVIR" values.
Digital Transformation Research: Explore and benchmark the use of AI and productivity tools (e.g., Gemini, Perplexity) to optimize HR communications, reporting, and process efficiency.
Operational Auditing: Maintain and update digital employee records within Google Workspace, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
Special Projects: Contribute to research and benchmarking for ongoing People & Culture projects related to Diversity & Inclusion and Learning & Development.
Qualifications & Skills
Academic Alignment: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program for Human Resources, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 1–2 years of related business experience (preferably in a not-for-profit or startup environment) is an asset.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Google Workspace (G-Suite) and comfortable using digital platforms for workflow management and documentation.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills with a strong "service mentality" for supporting a diverse team.
Organizational Ability: A self-starter who can manage multiple tasks, meet project deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.

Compensation: This is a project-based role supported by a fixed monthly allowance.
